Background
Jane Mwicigi completed her undergraduate training at the University Of Nairobi Medical School where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery. Jane then completed her Master’s degree in Public Health at Boston University majoring in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She joined the Alzheimer’s Disease Center at Boston University School of Medicine in September 2002.
ADC Role
Jane is a Clinical Research Project Manager coordinating and managing sponsored clinical trials at the Alzheimer’s Disease Center. She has managed the Phase three Bapineuzumab studies sponsored by Janssen and Pfizer and the Sub-clinical Hypothyroid study evaluating mood and cognition, a study sponsored by NIH.
She was the project manager for Cholesterol Agent to Slow the Progression of Alzheimer’s Disease (CLASP-AD), Alzheimer’s Disease Anti-inflammatory Prevention Study (ADAPT).
Research Interests
Jane’s research interests are focused on clinical trials for drugs that may be beneficial in either prevention or treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
