Matoula Serafeim (Questrom’22)

Matoula is a Principal Chemical Engineer at HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings S.A., a leading multi-national energy group in Southeast Europe with activities in Oil & Gas industry. She has more than 15 years of experience in the Refining Sector, specializing in Project Management and Cost Control. Lately, she leads and participates in Digital Transformation Projects for the Group’s Refineries.

She graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), School of Chemical Engineering (2002) and earned her MBA with High Honors from the BU Questrom School of Business (2022).

Matoula is a member of the very 1st cohort of Questrom’s Online MBA (OMBA1) and is proud to serve as an OMBA Admissions Ambassador, helping potential students and sharing her experiences with the program.
In recognition of her high scholastic achievement, she is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma international business honor society (BGS) and actively participates in the BGS Volunteer Program.
As a lifelong learner, Matoula is also a Certified Professional Negotiator and an ardent polyglot (speaks 4 languages).

She was born and raised in Athens, Greece, where she lives together with her husband and two sons.
Matoula loves jazz and rock music, and she is an ardent Formula 1 fan, but above all, she is a wine and food enthusiast, who loves traveling in search of the best enogastronomic experiences.
