Welcome!
Every business has a supply chain, which is the entire system that a firm uses to provide goods and services to its customers. Today, companies rely more and more on supply chain management for their success. According to the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), supply chain jobs—including high-tech roles in data analysis, cloud solutions, supply chain planning, and risk management—are projected to grow in line with the national average of 9 percent over the course of the next decade. Per the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in the related occupation of “logistician” are expected to grow by 30 percent through 2030, which is much faster than average.
The Supply Chain Management graduate programs at Boston University’s Metropolitan College (MET) ensure that you have the expertise to compete for challenging, in-demand roles in the profession. You will benefit from hands-on instruction from our unique teaching team, comprising a mix of seasoned professionals, authors, and academic researchers. Our course curricula are industry relevant and updated continuously to meet the evolving needs of the market, preparing you to excel at managing suppliers, warehouses, information flow, and finances; acquiring raw materials and overseeing the transportation of goods; and planning inventory.

And whether they are in large organizations or startups, for-profits or nonprofits, supply chain managers tend to be excited about their jobs. According to a 2019 survey conducted by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, “79% of young supply chain professionals surveyed described their work as satisfying, and 65% said their work is exciting.”
