Students travel to Havana, Cuba, where they engage with 1) the historical legacy of Africa and trans-Atlantic slavery in Afro-Cuban traditional culture and religion; 2) the ways in which contemporary artists in Cuba engage with that Afro-Cuban cultural legacy; and 3) the ways in which Afro-Cubans have experienced Cuban socialism. 这种体验包括旅行前和旅行后的活动和会议。学生必须参加CAS AA 306或CFA MH 563作为HUB CC 232的先决条件。从2021年春季开始，本课程将在以下BU中心区域完成单个单元：全球公民和跨文化素养。
