Center for English Language & Orientation Programs
Since it was founded in 1975, the core of CELOP’s mission has been to help international students and professionals succeed in their academic and work lives. CELOP’s highly qualified and trained teachers and staff are committed to providing students the tools they need to succeed.
In fact, each year, over 100 CELOP students meet their English language goals and go on to study at universities and colleges throughout the United States. Students leave CELOP with advanced English language skills and are prepared for the demands of a US university education.
CELOP students succeed because:
- they live a rich cultural and social life in the great city of Boston;
- they can live, study, and play on Boston University’s exciting campus;
- they learn in small classes with talented and experienced Boston University teachers; and
- they can select or design an English program to meet their individual needs.
We help students apply to colleges and universities in the US or prepare them for their professional career. Students leave CELOP with more confidence and are equipped with the language skills and cultural awareness they need to succeed.
CELOP is a part of Boston University’s Global Programs office, and we work closely with other academic and administrative units on campus to enrich the international student experience at Boston University.
