Boston University Black Business Student Association (BBSA)
The Black Business Student Association provides a support system through which students of minority backgrounds can help each other thrive in the School of Management and ensure positive career self-development. The objectives of BBSA are to:
- Enhance and formalize the connections between individuals who are interested in business matters related to black students.
- Solidify the alumni network, connecting black undergraduate students with black Questom School of Business graduates in business professions.
- Establish key partnerships with companies/organizations who are interested in the career development of black Management students.
Boston University Consulting Group
Boston University Consulting group (BUCG) is a collaborative organization focused on preparing students of all academic backgrounds for careers in consulting. We sponsor comprehensive workshops, mock interviews and alumni panels to this end.
Boston University Energy Club
The Energy Club is consists of graduate and undergraduate students, alumni, and professors who link scientists & engineers, entrepreneurs & business-persons, and aspiring policy-makers & government officials throughout the Greater Boston Area. Boston University Finance & Investment Club
Boston University Finance and Investment Club (BUFC) is an interactive, team-oriented group focused on mentoring its members from their first year of college to their first year on the job. Incoming freshmen and seasoned seniors are able to contribute to BUFC’s live fund through guided investment research and management. BUFC provides networking opportunities for its members to meet alumni from recent graduates to the senior executives. Events include the annual Wall Street Trip and Your Future in Finance Conference. Boston University Trading Club provides stock trading skills and knowledge not taught in the classroom. The club’s training program caters to students at all levels and benefits members in their personal and professional lives. We use mock trading accounts to learn basic principles and technical analysis before moving on to advanced training in trading strategies like hedging and options. LOCK Honorary Service Society
LOCK Honorary Society is the oldest student organization at SMG and was founded in 1924 by Professor Charles Stratton and Lyman Phillips on the belief that those who have the privilege of scholarship must share what they have gained. LOCK members fulfill that responsibility by providing their peers with tutoring in all required SMG courses and through other community service initiatives. Membership in LOCK is by invitation during the sophomore, junior, or senior years.
Management Information Systems Club
The MIS Club helps unite and create a forum for students, alumni, faculty, and recruiters interested in Information Systems Management. The purpose of the group is to promote awareness of information systems and provide an opportunity for collaboration between members. The Real Estate Club gives students an understanding of the Real Estate industry by discussing topics such as land development, construction, architecture, financing, and property management. The Senior Mentor Program is a peer mentoring network of SMG seniors that help first year students leverage the knowledge and first-hand expertise of seniors within the School of Management. Freshmen and transfer students benefit from Senior Mentors who can relate to their experiences and provide informal advice on how to succeed during their time in SMG. SMG Student Government
Student Government plans educational, community service and social activities for the SMG undergraduate community and acts as a liaison between students and the administration. There are many leadership opportunities available throughout the year and weekly General Assembly meetings are open to all SMG undergraduates. Sports Management Association
The Sports Management Association gives all students the chance to experience sports from a different perspective. Both undergraduate and graduate students can to go behind-the-scenes and learn about the managing professional sports through guest speakers, networking events, tours, and volunteer opportunities at events such as Boston Bruins and Red Sox games.

The Boston University chapter of 85 Broads aims to build a university-wide community of diverse undergraduate women and alumnae. The chapter helps women leverage each other’s knowledge, experience, and support as they define many unique paths to success.
