The couple has filed a class-action lawsuit against University Hospitals in Cleveland after its fertility clinic in suburban Cleveland discovered a storage tank malfunction March 4. The clinic said last week that as many as 2,000 frozen eggs and embryos may have been damaged.
Simultaneous refrigeration failures at two fertility clinics in San Francisco and suburban Cleveland have damaged or destroyed potentially thousands of frozen eggs and embryos in the biggest such loss on record in the U.S.
